CITC Organized a Workshop on IPv6

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has organized a workshop on IPv6, Tuesday, May 10, 2011(7 Jumada II 1432 H),   from 8:00 AM to 3:00PM at Sheraton – Riyadh Hotel (Ebn Turkey Hall).

The workshop discussed a number of working papers presented by a group of experts and speakers from inside and outside the Kingdom, to exchange views and share experiences and expertise through. The workshop was opened for public.
It should be noted that IPv6 will gradually replace the current Internet Protocol (IPv4). IPv6 can accommodate a huge number of Internet addresses, that will meet the future Internet needs for addresses, for decades, and it allows the emergence of new innovative applications, thanks to the availability of these addresses, as well as to take into account things on a high degree of importance for the Internet services such as quality of service, and information security.
